We used to call the Goats our 'advance party limos'. One of the coolest ATVs I've ever driven.
Looking forward to seeing both these builds Mike. Our you going to add the LoinMarc barrels?
"Happiness is a belt fed weapon"
ok Mike fair enough. so now would you mind sending me a PM when you start that build so i don't find it after you been working on it for two weeks.
Guys...for me it was the XOs Limo!!!....
Hans...commo...and their answer would be the were stringing wire!!!
Clay....I will send up a flare
Steve....Yep , I am waiting for the Lion Marc barrels and the MK photo etch to arrive. Hopefullyy the M50 will start in a week or so......almost done with the M667 Lance
Must've been some good stuff. :-) Oh, that is the XO! No camo disipline in that shot and they're just begging to get busted!
Good job on the review Mike! Very interesting and about time but, I'd have to hit the lottery for this one.
They were all around us in the early '70's but not part of 2-4INF's TO&E thankfully. IICRC, they were not well liked by the arty guys in the next kaserne over.
Anyone traveling to Quintana Roo (Cancun) Mexico, there's a Mexican Naval Base in the area that had a slew of (Gama) Goats in a Motor Pool two (?) years back. Kind of spiffy in navy grey, don't recall any markings and I'd be damn if I was going to whip out the camera. (There were also Mi-17's in the area for you rotor guys.)
Thanks,Kevin Keefe

Very cool looking. I remember seeing them in Erlangen when I was a kid.
That thing is pretty neat looking! Can't wait until you get around to this puppy!

It's Bill Murray's Russkie-mobile from "Stripes".

camo junkie looks like my survey crew personally hans.
LOL... I wouldn't know... Our Survey guys were so "well-camouflaged" that no one ever saw them until pay-call...
IICRC, they were not well liked by the arty guys in the next kaserne over.
One of the coolest ATVs I've ever driven.
I DID like driving it in convoys... It was easily the most comfortable ride of any "Army truck" I ever drove, but DAYUM! that thing's engine was loud...
Several years back I remeber seeing these things stacked like fire wood awaiting their turn to be dragged out onto the ranges as targets - what a waste. They were next to a line of M60s that looked like you could fire them up and drive away.
WIP:Trying to get my hobby stuff sorted - just moved and still unpacking.
