I am fond of early armor, before the military knew what a successful tank was supposed to be.

My favorite is the M3 Lee. Basically the M2 medium tank  that gets re-engineered to mount a 75mm gun in order to deal with emerging threats discovered by British combat in North Africa. They know it isn't a solid design, but they produce them in large numbers because a tank with a large caliber main gun was needed now.

Sweet. I knew a light tank from Tron would show up sooner or later!

For some reason I've always liked the Merkava Mk 4.  It too has a future look about it.

As far as tanks go, I'd have to say the Antos and the Sheridan.  That being said, I'll always have a soft spot for these:

Almost all tanks look beautiful.  If I have to choose, I'd say my No 1 is the Jagdpanther and my No 2 is the Panther.

Got to go with the M60A3, that's the one I learned my trade on in the mid-80s.  Immediately came the appreciate the superior design of the M1 Abrams but you never forget your first.

Tiger I for me. Looks so menacing and a scary reputation.

Favourite AFV of all is the Sd.Kfz 251, especially the /9.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

I wasn't a tanker during my Army career, but rather a Redleg, and spent several years in M109A3s both as a gunbunny and section chief...

Of all the pieces I crewed, the 109 was the best one to live in. It had a turret, which meant not standing around in the rain, and a heater...

For modeling, it's a toss-up... The M4 family and Panzer IVs, I reckon... They're certainly what I've built the most of...
