hey all it’s been along time since I last Did any scale models.

got the itch and picked up this kit with some new tools and weathering applications.

finished up the assembly and now waiting on my metal tracks to arrive to start the painting process.

Been reserching weathering techniques again as I am rusty as hell in doing this again, so should be fun.

She looks great so far!

The big broad barn-like sides of the thing should give you plenty to area to practice on.

TD.

I had the oppurtunity to climb all over one of the only surviving ones still in exisstence at Aberdeen Proving Grounds Maryland back in 2004, it was just sitting outside at the old railway head on base collecting dust.

apparently they finally fully restored it A few years ago.

Added a filter to blend it all in, then added decals. Topped it off with a coat of varnish, and let it set overnight.

now on to weathering, the  adding my fruil metal tracks once the burnishing fluid arrives in the mail.

Ohhhhhhhh, very cool!!!

Love the mud on the running gear and the scrapes on the side look like tree branches made them (mine always look like someone with more enthusium than skill scraped them with a paintbrush Stick out tongue ).
