I an looking for opinions on the best kit of the Tiger 1 and 2 ( King Tiger ). By best i mean 1) accuracy
2) clearity of instructions
3)mold quality
4) paint guide
Money issues a couple of years ago dictated i sell a big chunk of my stash to pay bills. Fast foward a few years and everything is back on track. So I would like to start replacing the kits that i had to sell, preferably with up-to-date kits. So first up is the Tiger 1&2 . I know everyone has their own favorites so thats why i asked for OPINIONS. Thanks everyone!
I have no opinion on the Tiger kits but I will say that I cleared a lot of my stash out 4 or 5 years ago for different reasons. Getting back into it a couple years ago, I've found that it's not a bad thing. Manufacturers change, tastes change. It's like when you sell your old car and buy a new one and the technology differences are mind boggling. Apologies for the tangent, but some what relevant - carry on
BTW a poll capability would be a nice feature on the forum.
Thanks,
John
For accuracy Dragon's Tiger I 's are very good,I am not a great builder by any means, but I have built guite a few of them without any issues, despite sometimes comfusing directions, but they make a very nice Tiger I

I have several Tigers from Dragon, Tamiya, Takom and Rye Fields. IMO Takom and Rye Fields make the best Tigers complete with full interiors. .
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
You would just see it thru the open hatches, unless you do something diffrent, some don't glue the roof of the turret so you can open it,others might do a cut out opening parts of the hull.
For ease of buildibility, the Tamiya kits are great. Dragons are great as well. You just have too pay more attention to little things, but they are very nice as well. Dragon does nice zimmerit on some of their kits. They don't have interiors. I think that interiors, although nicely done, are a new gimmick added on to get us old timers to buy their new kits. I admit , I've been suckered a few times.

I like to leave some sections loose so the seldom seen interior can be visible. I have several armor kits with interiors including 4, 6 and 8 rad armored cars.
Meng Tiger II kits are the best as you have the option to get the interior as a separate add on kit. Their instructions are clear, easy to follow and detailed. You can get both turret types, initial and series.
the detail of the actual parts are really good, crisp and the plastic is good quality. You can add to these kits with Friul metal tracks that fit perfectly and give the realistic sag and look, also Aber do a range of barrels and muzzle brakes that were fitted to the two turrets which while adding to the cost just add the edge of crispness to the barrel and also means you have no seam to deal with.
I would recommend Rye Field Models' latest Tiger I offering. It has clear turret etc parts and a complete interior. You can always paint the clear parts if you wish or go your own way! Again look at Friul tracks and match them to the vehicle, early, mid or late, this means you will have some reading to do! Not sure about metal barrel at the moment. Will have to do some looking around.
