That's really nice,you blended the whitewash,snow,mud,and weathering very nicely.

I really like the contrast with the muddy running gear and the snow.

Nice one Gamera!  And just in time too, since Tamiya recently released a new tool KV-1, with a new KV-2 to follow shortly!  The Trumpy KV series gets generally good marks from the experts, and like you said they are cheap.

I'd better get on and finish my Trumpy KV-2...

Lol, as I said when I was putting the snow on the base it was about 95F / 35C and it did make me feel a little cooler! Guess I should have posted the thing when it was still swealting hot... 

Real G: Looking forward to the new Tamiya KV series- I'm guessing they'll be running about seventy-eighty bucks US. I'm happy with this kit- for about the same price I can get two-three of them for the price of what Tamiya will probally be charging.

And please finish up your KV-2, I really want to see what you're going to do with her. Esp the awesome quick-fried tower.

Great looking KV tank Gamera! Very nicely done! I've heard nothing but good things about the Trumpter KV family of kits.(aside from the atrociously bad hilarious translation of the history on the instruction sheet and box top) Yours is a fine example of what can be done with the kit.

Tamiya's forthcoming KV-2 has a standing commander figure that pays homage to the old 1970s kit.  You know the one:  the grumpy looking dude with the clenched fist and 1,000 km stare.

And gee you're almost done there Real G. It wouldn't take much to push her over the finish line. And it's nice to hear that Tamiya is paying homage to those classic kits. I built the vintage KV-2 years ago, loved the figure! Love those new figures you've got too, look tough for the camera!

I built the old Tamiya KV-1 in the late 1970s and really enjoyed the story of the lone KV blocking a road that was included on the instruction sheet.

Yes I need to push the KV-2 over the finish line.  Nothing holding up the work other than laziness.

I built the old Tamiya KV-1 kit as well, but when Trump came out with theirs, I jumped on a couple, and have one more in the stash. Dare I say it, they're "Tamiya-esque" as far as engineering and assembly go, and the original releases are still inexpensive.

Yeah, I've built the vintage Tamiya kits a few times. You're can't go wrong with them or the Trumpeter kits. And as for the KV-1 and 2 they're big, squat, and brutal looking machines. Like Tojo's IS-II they capture the concept of 'tank' perfectly for me. 

Nice work, Gamera. The snow and winter camo look great and the base really seals the deal. Well done.
