Soooo good and soooo cheap...Trump's new "Sturer Emil"

Just picked up Trumpeter's new 1/35 German 12.8cm Selbstfahrlafette L/61 "Sturer Emil" at an LHS today...and the regular price is just under $15 USD!! The kit looks great, with very crisp molding, and even the track shoe horns are properly hollow! From what I understand, this kit is being sold at this low price to celebrate it as Trump's 350th kit.
Thanks, Trumpeter!

Also, they've just released a 1/72 Swedish "S" tank, for about $10 USD.

The best part is, spend 30 dollars and you can recreate the entire German fleet of them! Laugh [(-D]

It is an interesting looking vehicle. There's a bunch of pictures of it in the Wydawnictwo Militaria book on the Ferdinand/Elefant. The Russians captured one and put in it Red Square. It might be in a Russian tank museum now. What a monster of a gun!

Tell me about it. I will probably buy several of the SA-6 kits.

350? I didn't realize Trumpeter had put out that many kits.

Big Smile [:D] Interesting kit.

The German designation is 12.8cm Selbstfahrlafette L/61 (Panzerselbstfahrlafette V). The Germans produced two vehicles in 1942 which were dispatched to the Eastern Front. One was captured by the Russians in 1943 and analyzed.

Here you can see more about this interesting armour: http://www.lonesentry.com/articles/ttt_128mm/index.html

Rodolfo
