T-62 Snorkel
Posted by M1 A1 A2 Tanker on Monday, January 25, 2010 10:29 PM

Hi

All I was wondering can I leave off the snorkel on my T-62 (in Soviet service) or were they usually found on the tank? I've tried researching this but cannot find many pics of the rear of the turret.

Thanks in advance................

Scott

I suppose you could leave it off, but if it's going to be in Soviet service chances are the crew left the snorkel on(even if it was used very rarely.) It was an eight-hour procedure!.....so it's obvious they didn't use it often, nontheless they probably didn't go out of the way to ditch the snorkel either.

Here's some pics of T-62 w/ snorkel attached to turret.....
