Might be able to get away with doing an early-mid timeframe. I don't have the refs handy, but they must have came out before zimm in Sept 43.

*Edit: Just found a quick ref and it appears that the later cupola came out in late 43 which would indeed imply that zimmerit would be required.

Scale modelling is the only place where the Tiger is not facing extinction.

Ye, but it should only have 2 antennas. A Star Antenna for a 267 and a 1.4m Antenna for the 268. But Dragon has you fit both plus the one on the turret.

Have to agree with you there Karl!

Between Tamiya and Dragon and every other manufacturer I think we're pretty much covered!

I think the next one we'll see is a monster 1/24 Tasca Tiger I! Find display room for that beast!

Bish, I'll take all the DS tracks you don't want.  I am done with DML track links.

What are there; about five left intact?  So I guess that means that we should each have at least five Tiger kits in our stash??  Big Smile  Of course that excludes the Bengal and Siberian versions, but then they never saw much action in WWII anyway...Wink

One can never have enough Tigers. I am currently sitting on 6 Tanks and two variants of the Tiger I. But i have learnt my lesson with Cyber Hobby. Somthing like this which can easily be built from an normal Dragon kit, just ain't worth that money. I got the one with the marking for Wittmanns tank, and thats the most expensive kit i have ever bought. That would of been a very easy conversion and easy to mark up.

Luckly i have found a use for those rubber tracks. I still got 2 sets of panther DS tracks. If i decide to get rid, i'll get back to you satch.

Considered among the weakest of the Tigers on the market. Has an aluminum barrel and PE grills, but rubberband tracks and incorrect turret.

I can't reply because I don't understand the question.

I know what the word 'most' means; it means "over 50%". Therefore I could answer by comparing two numbers.

But I have difficulty in obtaining those numbers because I don't know what you mean by "Tiger 1 kit". The manufacturers have all released the same parts in multiple boxes, with minor changes such as decals or extra sprues. Do you consider those to be distinct kits, or do you count each overall tooling as a single kit?

Just my two cents--if you can tell that ANY Tiger model out there has an "incorrect" turret, you've got the eyes of an eagle. Much better than mine.

I've heard this argument before and I think it's all wet. It's not even worth mentioning. There are actually companies out there marketing the "correct turret shape!" in resin fro like, the price of the entire kit.

It's amazing what marketers come up with to sell something, lol. Surprise

Bish there aren't that many manufaturers of 1/35 scale Tiger I kits as it is. Just Tamiya/Academy, Dragon and AFV Club. I don't think Trumpeter even has a Tiger I kit out.
