CB's Armor Review for 2010
Posted by cb1 on Thursday, December 16, 2010 9:56 AM

After a long 10 year break from building, I've picked up the glue and paint again.  So in keeping with less talk/more pictures, here is what I made since I picked it back up 6 months ago.

Tamiya Duster with Eduard PE update

The old Tamiya jeep with trailer OOB

The Tamiya M2 Bradley with some Eduard PE (as somebody called it Motorpool Ready)

Tamiya M2A2 Bradley with some Eduard PE

Tamiya M4 Sherman (105mm) OOB

Tamiya M4 Jumbo with TWS Nose and metal barrel

Dragon Panther G OOB

Dragon Panther D OOB

Tamiya Walker Bulldog OOB

Thanks for all the great tips and tricks! I forgot how much therapy one can get while working on a model.

Thanks for posting your stuff.  Indeed, I love being able to place a completed model on the shelf, and then peer down low and just look at it from ground level.  I love that feeling.

One thing you might want to correct on your Jumbo Sherman: the spot lamp atop the turret should have its lens inside the shroud/cylinder about 3mm.  That cylinder was sheet metal -- designed to limit the spot light's beam.  hope this helps

YesYes After a 10 year break you hit the ground running! I really like what you did with some of those older Tamiya kits such as the Duster and the Walker Bulldog. What's on tap for next year?Wink

After 10 years off you made some old dogs look like great. I love the duster.

Looks like you had a very good year.

Man what a productive year. I wish I could put out that many and dent the stash. Welcome back to the hobby.

Great job for the last year.  I especially like the Duster and Bradleys.

thanks again for the comments, I guess I'm sort of a weekend warrior. Once I get started I can't stop unit it is finished. Unless I'm waitig for a metal barrel or a PE update my kits get done in a weekend.

currently I'm awaiting the Formation conversion for the M4A3 so I can make a "Sgt Oddball" Sherman. I just finished the Jagaur "Oddball crew" set.

pictures to follow of course. Thanks again! Beer
