Wow-I had the Airfix kit in...1976 or so?!

Was never much of a fan of the old Airfix kits, but they were definitely not 1/72.  The ESCI and Hasegawa stuff I had back then dwarfed them.

Airfix makes a 1/72 Type 97.Not a bad kit at all.

Airfix's Type 97 Chi-Ha is 1/76 and "became" 1/72 scale when that scale gained in popularity. He's right though, it is one of their best, if not their very best, 1/76 scale tank kit.

There's the Type Go-Kata (Japanese Ft-17) made by RPM in 1/72 scale.

Not quite what you're looking for, but Hasegawa makes a couple of 1/72 scale airfield vehicles, an Isuzu fuel truck and a Toyota starter truck.

I like the Fujimi kits, but their tracks are a bit stiff.

Fujimi makes the early and late Chi Ha in 1/76 as well as the Ho Ni 75mm SPG.

Are there any companies that make 1/72 scale WWII Japanese tanks or armored vehicles?

Thank you for the help.
