Stupid armor question

Like What the others said. I always prime either with auto primer or games workshop primer then paint with acrylics. Like Phil said there are stories of a mineral based wash causing them to snap and detoriate.

These would be the later glueable tracks. I seem to recall reading accounts of them disintegrating when washes using mineral spirits/enamel thinners were applied.

I would play it safe and use acrylics only if possible.

I have not worked with these types of track as of yet. However, I don't think you can go wrong with a primer. My choice would be Mr. Surfacer. From there, use your favorite paint(s) and I'd wager you should be fine.

Of course you could test on a small section beforehand.
