I agree with Bish on the Tamiya acrylic paint and colors. 

Here's a link I found that might help.  This guy built and painted a 1:35 Elephant, but used the Dragon kit....color and camo should be close to what you're looking for

There alot of paint brands out there for German armour, but for a first timer i would suggest Tamiya. This should have a 3 colour scheme, so it should be XF-60 base colour with XF-61 and XF-64 on top. Are you useing an airbrush on brush painting.

hi can anyone tell me what colors should be used on this kit? it is my first armor kit and i need some color help PLEASE like what color name and brand of paint i need to paint this kit. i am going to try to paint  some camo on it if anyone knows of a build in progress i can follow for a kind of step by step would really be great here is a pic of the boxtop but really anything close would br GREAT THANKS rob
