HD Failure - lost reference picture - Pz.Kpfw. IV
First of all Happy New 2011 to all of you :)
My new year could have come off on a better foot; My 1T Iomega external hard drive stopped smoking. It has ceased to be It has gone to met its maker ( here it comes Iomega ,watch out because it is coming in hard, fast and low ) My Iomega now sleeps with the fishes It is now an x-external hard drive
Many years of downloaded reference pictures ( some 3000 ) have become electrostatic rubble on a piece of useless metal.
I have now spent 3 hours on the Bundesarchiv to find a reference picture that I am not even sure is there.
It is a winter picture of a German Pz.Kpfw. IV taken from a front right angel. You can see the turret with mounted protection skirts, the tank commander is looking into the camera and MG armed Grenadiers have taken cover between the turret protection panels and the turret. To hide from the cold or to launch an attack, the picture does not tell. If anyone knows what picture I am talking about and can help with a link or a post I would be very happy.
You would sort of make my January :)
As always Boarder
