As you can tell from my name I am partial to the Tiger II due to its sleek looks and lethal firepower. A close second would be the Panther G late version. Iv'e always held a certain fondness for the Stuart.

I like the Panzer IV series. Robust, reliable, and a constant source of amazement as to what German engineers managed to use the chassis for.
On the bench: 1/35 Dragon Sturmpanzer Late Recent: Academy 1/48 Bf-109D (Nov 06) Academy 1/72 A-37 (Oct 06) Revell 1/72 Merkava III (Aug 06) Italeri 1/35 T-26 (Aug 06)

M3A3 Stuart is my all time favorite. I enjoyed crewing the M60's better than the M1's (yes, the M1 IS awesome, but the hard shell M60 something... maybe because it was the first I crewed?). My favorite to drive is a toss up between the M4 Sherman and M3 light (again, over the M1).

It may not be the biggest or the nastiest, but my vote for sexiest is the Swedish S-100. It's the only one I've scratch built (out of mahogany, no less) as a presentation piece. Turretless, nearly a wedge. A shame it didn't pan-out in the real world.

Occasional factual, grammatical, or spelling variations are inherent to this thesis and should not be considered as defects, as they enhance the individuality and character of this document.

I love German carnivorous AFV like Tiger,Panther,Puma, and recently Leopard 2 A5. I want to know which one will be the winner in the fight between M1A1 and Leopard, don't you!
Anyway Japanese tank in WW2 is the ugliest.

Depends on the period. In WWII, I would have preferred the sturdy and reliable Tiger and Tiger II (a.k.a. King Tiger). Not fast, but shoot at 2 km with the 88mm gun and you've got a burning enemy!
Today, nothing compares with the M1 Abrams. Fast, reliable and deadly precise.
Yet, in WWII, you still had the human factor. It was the gunner, who made the difference and not a laptop...

This is a question, so you should end it with a question mark, not an exclamation point. Smile [:)]

Anyway, answer: I guess the Tiger I in 1942-43, in the Desert and in the cauldron of the Kursk campaign. The first true super-tank. A powerful tank in capable hands.

It's a hard question, though, because I am also fond of the M1 series, the Sherman series, the T55 series, and so on and so on. Maybe I just don't have a favorite tank of all time.

Compairing any modern tank like a Callenger or M1 to WWII tanks like a Tiger is silly, of couse a modern tank would kick a Tigers arse, you got 50-60 years of technology advancements. I'm sure an M1A2 would clober a Callenger 2 though. The M1's saw more action and went further then the Callengers did, thats why a couple were lost to ememy fire. Plus they had Yank crews LOL.

The Challenger 2 Main Battle Tank. It was the only tank to go through the Gulf with no losses to enemy action despite hails of RPG7 fire. The only one that was lost was destroyed by another Ch 2 in Basra. It is testament to the protection of the vehicle that half of the crew survived, and testament to the power of the Gun that it could destroy an essentially invulnerable tank. Don't think for one minute that the electronics means you don't need a team in a tank. You do. A Ch 2 would clobber a Tiger, Konig Tiger, and please remember that the T95 is based loosly on the T72, with all the inherent weaknesses... so don't even go there!!! That should start a debate!

Hi,
I'm late on this but I have to answer this question! The M-60A3 rise is my fav
as I crewed one(Got High Tank at Graf !!). I always liked the King Tiger and would
like to see one "modernized" W/ new engine, laser sights and maybe bigger gun.
I would like to have a turn at an M1A2 in the desert. I thank the kids that are crewing
them now!
Good Hunting,

I think the Leopard 2 is a great looking tank, modern but still got that Tiger look about it. The Merkava is a cool tank as well.

M1A1, you should see a tank pure battalion rolling across the desert. Besides, it's the ride that brought all my boys home from Desert Storm.

My favorite has to be the Tiger I. It looks primitive, powerful and above all, deadly. But one of the most impressive photos I've seen is of an airborne Soviet T-90. I've got it in a file and would post it here If I could figure out how to do it.
