Trumpeter M1126 paint color
Posted by Tankluver on Monday, April 23, 2018 7:09 AM

The paint color guven is a light green from Mr Color, but what is the vallejo equivalent, doesn’t seem like the US Army uses olive drab anymore. Is there a new color , i was thinking of doing a black base coat than olive drab and then maybe a dark green. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you

You're looking for an equivalent to FS 34094. Vallejo's equivalency chart gives the Model Air equivalent as 71.093 Oddly, when you do a Google search for vallejo 71.093 you get two results for the same number, "Field Green" and "NATO Green".

The actual color is CARC Green (FS34094).  I like to use Testors Model Master Medium Green (FS34102) as a pretty good in-service color that looks sufficiently faded and used.

Here is an M1127 build I did a while ago using the Medium Green color:

CARC Green is the same color as used in the NATO three color camo scheme, NATO Green.
