After-market Metal Tank Tracks
Posted by gary4046 on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 12:33 PM

I am very new at using this website. After stumbling around it for some time, I decided to leave a question-message here. I’m not sure this is the best location to ask such a specific question.

I am constructing a Meng 1:35 French FT-17 light tank. I’m going to be adding a set of after-market Hungarian Friulmodel metal tracks (No. ATL-73), replacing the stock track links provided in the kit.

Although I am familiar and have assembled at least a half a dozen of Friulmodel’s product (common track-link couplings), I have not run into these old early 20th century French-designed tank track links before and there are no real instructions provided for proper link assembly in the after-market kit for this style.

I rather not blindly guess at the proper assembly steps of these particular links if I don't have to; so I was wondering if there was anyone here who perhaps was familiar with this specific track link that could assist me in this problem or could point me in the right direction to find some decent assembly information somewhere.  As you can see in the attached photo the included package English-tranMetal Track LinksIMG_9754slated "instructions" don't seem to me to be very helpful.  Thanks, gary4046
