What Are The Type 97 Chi-Ha Early Paint Cameo Colors December 1941

I've Been Reading Every Article On Japanese Tank Colors And They Say For Early Its Khaki,Dark Brown And Light Brown.then After 1941 They Used Grass Green To Replace The Light Brown.I'm Confused Cause I've Seen Chi-Ha's In 1941 With Green,Khaki ANd Dark Brown.So Can Someone Explain To Me What Im Missing Here Cause Its Just Confusing

remember, tanks left on an island in the jungle to defend against US forces probably was not repainted when the decision was made to change colors. Here's a good link to the differing colors.

 I'm on vacation/holiday so I don't have any of my reference materials here. But as Rob said in the middle of a war you're probably a little busy to go back and repaint everything.

I do remember some odd cases were found here and there though, like the yellow stripes that were supposed to be stopped early in the war being applied to some late war vehicles. So I'm not sure it's totally impossible that even newer stuff may have been painted in some cases with older camo patterns as well.

BTW Rob, great article there, I'm going to bookmark it just for the paint chart.
