WWII British AFV Markngs
Posted by milwaukeejohn on Friday, May 18, 2018 7:01 PM

Can anyone point me to some good 1/72 British vehicle decal sets?  I don’t need anything specific...I am looking for generic numbering sheets and sheets that have markings for different units/divisions.

While we are at it, it would also be helpful to find either a publication or web resource that serves as a guide to WWII British AFV markings.

For whatever reason I am not coming up with much via online searches.

Thanks!

Not my usual scale, but couple decal makers you can check out;

For books, I think *** Taylor's four volume series 'Warpaint' on British colour and markings is likely the best up to date publication on the subject.  Difficult to find or at original price ... so you will have to rely on google, but also try image searches.

Here's one to start you off;

Hey John,

If you want to go with transfers you can try Archer Fine Transfers. They might have what you want regarding British AFV markings. They have them in 1/72, 1/48 and especially 1/35. Good luck.

Jack, sorry for the late reply, but thank you for pointing me to the excellent British AFV markings resource.  I use it often and am considering purchasing the books.
