New to modeling, started on an Sherman tank

 

any tips? 

I may make a muddy road for it !

Winners2112, you did a nice job weathering and muddling your tank.

Much is said on this website and others about who the model manufacture is and what scale you‘re working on, such as 1/35 or 1/72 and so on. There is so much information and detail on painting and weathering it can be overwhelming for someone new to modeling, but you did well in my opinion.

A big part of the fun is researching the history of your model and finding out what other modelers are doing like in the article below:

Now if you had a muddy road in the Ardennes of 1944 instead of the kitchen table your Sherman would be right at home.

Oh wow, looks great! Love the mud! 

 

You should try to build a small muddy road diorama. It's really not that hard. Just grab a plaque from the art store, coat it with a little plaster, run ruts though it, sprinkle some static grass on the sides, and then paint it up.
