Gamera,

Don't dig out the kit. I'm fine with the info you have provided me. Don't worry about any further bother on your part.

I can't get the link to work and don't know how to copy and paste with this phone. I'm a complete Luddite when it comes to most tech and can barely navigate this site. I don't do Facebook or Instagram and don't post any photos anywhere. I'm just slightly able to send e-mail and text.

Thanks for your insight on the Asuka/Tasca Jumbo.

Well, the photos are linked and now with a huge PhotoBucket watermark. I tried to copy them and then tranfer them over to ImageShack but am having no luck. It's dark and I really don't feel like digging out the kit so if you want to see the photos I'll post a link to the GB here- they're about halfway down the page.

If you can handle a Dragon kit Tasca/Asuka should be a snap!

Gamera,

Thanks for the comments on the kit. Sounds like one I want to try. If it's no worse than the Dragon kits, I think I can handle it. Except for my gripes about the hull crew hatches on the Dragon M4 105, the kit came out ok and I was happy with the results.

Thanks SP! I found the original posts and the photos, I'll see about getting them posted here this evening. I built her for a GB and was going to put her in a diorama and then post her over here and then never got around to finishing the dio... Sad

Photo bucket photos are available again. They are allowing third party viewing once again. Go check some of your old threads.

I built the kit a few years ago and found it excellent. A little fiddly in places but nowhere near as bad as most Dragon kits.

Sorry all my photos were on PhotoBucket and I can't get to them now. Guess I should pull the thing out and retake some photos of her.

The Tamiya kit adds extra armor to their old M4A3 kit and a new turret. While it looks like a Jumbo, many experts have picked it apart. Tasca/Asuka's kit has rave reviews.

Anybody out there have any opinions or advice on the Asuka Sherman Jumbo? I understand that the Tamiya version is not so good. The Asuka version seems to be hard to find also. Any comments are appreciated.
