Brothers in Arms...
In my constant quest to find different and unique WWII tanks and vehicles, I finally took the plunge and picked up a few 1/76 scale trucks and armored cars from Early War Miniatures. I was very skeptical about getting anything die cast because I have always believed that the die cast figures in the World War II genre simply look awful. They may be OK for wargaming, but for dioramas they are far too cartoonish and physically out of proportion for my liking.
I have to say that I was pretty impressed with the vehicle kits I received, and it was nice that they don’t require a lot of assembly.
That said, I have never worked with die cast models before. Does anyone have any tips, tricks or suggestions? What kind of glue do I use? How about priming/painting? I would appreciate any leads to online articles or YouTube videos that can walk me through the process. I did a few searches, but unfortunately nothing stellar came up.
So, can anyone lead me in the right direction? Thanks! - John
