Question about Jordinian (Chieftain variant) Khalid tank color
Posted by Honestly on Sunday, April 7, 2019 6:06 PM

I'm having some trouble mixing and matching the light tan shade found on the Khalid/Chieftain. Additionally, I cannot seem to find any documents discussing color standards from when these tanks were painted. Hoping someone might have some insight and/or refernce material.

Khalid Examples

Cheers!

It has a distinct pink cast to it so I'd used Tamiya "Flat Flesh" mixed with "Flat White".

Try to find a Jordanian armor modeling forum online. I have looked at a few in regards to Six Day War models.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

That sounds a lot like the sand color used overall on RAF aircraft in the 1991 Gulf War. If so Humbrol makes it as 250. Model Master makes the color as well. Or did... most everybody seems to be changing their paint line ups lately.

A nice color, but Light Stone is on the yellow side of hues for sand colors.
