If you drag that string across a chunk of beeswax, it will remove the fuzziness and slightly stiffen the string too, making it easier to get some "tension" to your cables.

Primarily late WWII Western Europe modeling.

Thanks for the info, RealG. Looking at the manual of instructions it does look like this thing is designed to actually work so it looks like I will be painting and using the string stuff that comes with the kit!

It should be an interesting build once I get to it with some quite technical thinking to do as well as navigating Takoms instructions!

Karaya from Poland sells wire for tow cables in several diameters.  But they are stiff and may have spring memory and not drape well.

Hi Guys

Today this arrived

Inside the box is some very poor white nylon string in two sizes which we are ment to use as the cabling for the crane.

Does anyone know of a product that is better and would replace the kit stuff?
