Thanks mac.

We certainly are spoilt for choice these days. Yet back then those kits were probably state of thea art. I am so grateful to be building now.

Outstanding as ever.

Makes me thing back to the mid-late 70s when all we had was Tamiyas' "Hanomag" and the Nitto 251 with nebelwerfer racks (and they were not quite the same scale, either, despite what the box said).

Our other option in sem-tracks being the Airrfi(?) "Rommel's Grief" 250 (and the 18 stone Rommel figure).

So, seeing one of the modern gems made to high standards is a pure joy.

Thanks GreySnake. I still have room for improvment on my figures, faces especially.

Very impressive! The weathering came out great. Impressed with how the diorama came out. Those figures look great and it looks like I need to try to step up my figure painting skills

Bravo! You've done it again. It looks excellent. Love the dusty look and the diorama is wonderful.

I'm always impressed with your work. I struggle to just get a model completed, with grand ideas on dioramas.

I'm lucky, i get plenty of bench time. This one took about 6 weeks. But the base is more on the simple side. The ones with buildings, now thats somthing else.

Thanks Bish, yep can understand that; you're practically working on two model builds each time. Don't want to think how many you've completed while I'm doing one.

Thanks Mike. Its just a case of getting the composition right, i spend quite a bit of time working on the layout and trying to portray the scene i want to get across.

The Cpl is ordering the private to go and check some near by buildings. The rifle is pointing down at the ground but i can see it looks as though its pointing at the Cpl in the pics.

Outstanding work, as usual! The weathering really seems appropriate, and I am always impressed with how much you can pack into a small base diorama. Just curious - what are the two figures close to the fence discussing? One is pointing his rifle at the other, who is gesturing to something distant. Would love to know!

Thanks Joe.

I tend to start on the figures early. I get the main parts, body and legs, together early, that way i can work on the layout and get the board ready. I try to get them ready for primeing at the same time as i prime the model. I then work on the painting while the model is being left to dry. So they do get done together.

Thats one of the reasons i struggle to work on 2 builds at once, there is always somthing to do on just the one.

Great finish Bish,

You're in the snow diarama had the figures painted with the appearance of snow, how long does it take you to prepare the figures for each of you're diaramas. Do you work on them in tandem with the main model.

Cheers Joe

Got the 251 wrapped up last night so time for the final pics. But first a few of the finished vehcile before i fitted it to the base. Final touches were to add all the last parts, some AK dust effects folowed by a flat coat and some pigments.

And then onto the base along with the figures. I also put the rest of the soldiers equipment onto the rails. Despite this being the most figures i have put into a 35th dio, i wanted to keep it compact.

My info on Polish uniforms is none, so i just went with what i could find online and am hoping its ok. Really pleased with this kit, can deffinetly recomend it and will be getting more. This is 251 number 6 on the completed list and really glad to have it.

Thanks for following along.

Looking really good Bish! It’s nice to see a German vehicle in Polish invasion markings.

This is Panzer Grey, this is Xtracolour's version. I often lighten it a bit, but given that i want to portray a vehicle thats only a couple of months old, i wanted to keep it fresh.

That would be cool. Ah, memories.

So, a question of curiosity, but the near black of the paint scheme? It's amazingly well done, but I thought the early schemes were Panzer grey.

What is it I don't know about this?

I think the only one I've ever built in my entire life was the old Italeri 1/35 Panzer I. I still have the figure lol.

M. Brindos

I know there are some, but I didn't realize I've probably already seen most of them. It's not something I've paid any attention to before lol.

Me neither really. But i have been looking at more early war subjects. I think as with most German armour models, most of mine are mid to late war. This is my first one thats pre 1942.

Thanks Mike. I know what you mean, but there are more out there than you might think, we just don't see them very often.

That's gorgeous, Bish!

I find it strange that there are so few options for the Polish invasion. I thought that would be widely covered.
