Very cool, thanks for that info, Bish! I knew which SS division it represented, but not the meaning behind it. Learn something new every day...

It originated from the single key of the 1st SS Pz Div. The commander of the Div and later the SS Pz Corp was Sepp Dietrich, who's name translates to picklock or skeleton key.

The Oakleaves were added when Dietrich got the Oakleaves to his Knights Cross.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

I need to know the double key insignia in the shield. It has the leafs under it. What division and or regiment it may be. I know that this may be an easy question for most but I've tried findinformation looking it up but can't find a definigive answer. Tks everyone
