Rye Field Models M1A2 kits?
Posted by Wilbur Wright on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 5:13 PM

Guys,

I'm about to buy the RFM 1/35th M1A2 TuskII with full engine and interior (kit no 5026)

Has anyone built one of their recent M1's?  Any insights?

I have wanted to build one of these with a full engine and this looks like the kit.  This kit apparently comes with  flat track lengths already made.  You have to make the curved sections.

I have the Voyager IED jammers and UHF antennas.

Need to get accurate crew figures (please recommend if you know)

The Rye Field kit is very nice.  I have a couple, but haven't built them yet.

Here are a couple of excellent build reviews at Armorama:  https://www.armorama.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=12986

For the crew, the Master Box Modern US Tank Crew set is perfect.

Have not built any Rye Field kits but the crew set Gino lists is a nice one. I've got them mostly painted for my Dragon Abrams. With only three hatches and five figures it gives you a nice choice on which ones to use. Only thing I didn't really like is the camo on the uniforms was a bear to paint...
