Thanks for the help! Think I'll go with the Academy version; sounds like a little less stressful. I can add the launcher wiring harness as that shouldn't be a problem.

Again; thanking everybody for the good information. This is a great site.

I've built the Academy version myself and can say its a good kit. The rocket launcher portion is from Italeri boxed with the Academy M4A3. The rocket launcher can do with some detailing, but it works out really well. As for the Verlinden resin set of the rocket launcher, I have heard some not so good things about it. Warpage, slightly undersized are two that come to mind, but that is from what I have heard and not actual experience having never held one in my hand. I think the Academy version would be a good choice.

In 1/35 there are also M4A3 75mm (wet) kits by Academy and Italeri that have the Calliope rocket launcher attachment option. I don’t know their current availability, but they are out there.

Italeri did one in 1996 and reissued it fairly recently. Verlinden's is a heavy piece of resin and puts a lot of weight onto the supports.

Calliope rocket launcher for Shermans

I want to add a Sherman Calliope rocket launcher tank to my Sherman stash and would like to know what other have used. I built the Monogram model many moons ago and once was enough; still have nightmares...

How is the Verlinden aftermarket set? Would it work with Tamiya and/or Asuka M4A3 variants? Anything else available?

Thanks in advance for any help or information.
