Very nice work on the paint, I don’t envy you doing the digital camouflage.

thanks for that... I wasn't overly fussed with any of the box schemes and do like a what-if sometimes (did a what-if JGSDF Type 16 in tri-tone grey last year)... the next part is a a pain )but clean) and that is cutting out a load of masks. Have 1 sheet printed up which is the remnants of the Type 16 set but may need more

Very interesting to see your progress, looks like you had a very well planned build before ya started.

My " Terminator" is languishing on the shelf of doom....boogered up my attempt at digital camo, had to watch a YouTube video to figure out how to connect the track links...simple after that LOL.

Gonna keep this thread marked so next time I attemp one your amazing WIP pics will guide me.

   Keep up the good work.Cool

first colour of digital scheme - Khaki Green no 4 (and faded with a touch of light grey)... really nice base, next up slate grey I believe - probably a few weeks for that as a) I need to cut out all the digital masks b) I need to get my son back to uni

Good to see you and the Terminator back on the bench. Looking forward to the camo. Happy New Year!

Portland Stone running gear done... will add wheels and tracks and then need to glue the 2 layers of side skirts before I start on the digital

Keyserj

The cardboard pieces that hold the road wheels for painting is pretty cool. Can't wait to see how the digital camp turns out.

thanks - was a christmas present to myself ;-) made yesterday to replace a battered piece of polystyrene - could do with a second block as anything more than 12 wheels and things would start touching....

wahoo.... primer on. Next step will be portland stone on the lower hull & wheels (allowing side skirts to be glued on ahead of full digital scheme... as said, this is 100% what-if scheme

Without the missiles, he looks like a Female tank from WWI - big armor and treads but only MG's for armament.

Looks great - can't wait to see the turret!

onto the turret.... keeping the weapons system separate from the turret to aid the digital camo. So far so good... building up nicely

more work on the hull... the hatches are a multi-part assembly but build up really nice. Also done the side skirts, think I need to paint the wheels/lower hull/tracks (still think there is 1 too many link as well) soon then add the side skirts before the digital scheme (on this, I have primed up a plastic tub to allow me to trial the colour scheme - think the NATO green is too dark so need to see (plan to fade each colour as I go rather than at the end when all painted)....

thanks all... both tracks completed - and 81 links/side seems about right. Have moved on to the upper hull and attached it to the lower... nice fit. Still not sure on the paint job this will get but so far so good

Nice work. I’ve been thinking about getting this kit eventually and I’m interested to see how it builds up.

thanks all, so far so good, nice fit, instructions make sense... progress. One side of tracks done (workable tracks went together nicely with only a few casualties) and the running gear done. On to the upper hull now.

Good work Rob, looks like nice kit. I don't have any Meng stuff in my stash, but I might have to check them out.
