Stik, I used this page https://www.mafva.org/british-vehicle-camouflage-1939-45/?v=79cba1185463 for the colour mixture Desert Pink Z.I.

Dodgy thank you. The soldering itself was very easy when using acid flux so the solder would flow exactly where I wanted it to go.

Good looking model GreySnake. Soldering, mmmm. I haven't done any of that since 1960 something, but with all the PE around these days I can see I'm going to have to. How did it go?

Sorry I misunderstood thought you meant the dust. Base color is five parts Tamiya XF-2 White, five parts XF-15 flat flesh and one part XF-52 Flat Earth.

Ah a custom mix?! It looks good! Was it your own mix or a formula that you found somewhere?

Thank you, Tojo! Doing a lot of weathering on this tank would have been a mistake. These Sherman’s first saw action in during the second Battle of El Alamein so they there wouldn’t be much wear on them at all prior to then. Looking at reference photos from around the time period the tanks are either dusty or very dusty

Finished Dragon 1/35 Sherman MK. II

Thought I would share finished photos of my Dragon 1/35 Sherman MK. II (M4A1) for the British Group Build hosted by Bish. The Dragon kit was a challenge mainly because of the PE mud guards, sand shields and mounting racks for the sun shields (system used to disguise the tank to look like a truck). I had to do a lot of bending along with soldering parts together which was my first attempt at soldering. The kit included DS tracks were worthless as they were too long and replaced with Miniart workable tracks.

Markings are for 9^th Queens Royal Lancers, 2^nd Armored Brigade El Alamein October 1942.
