Boy, that looks great.

Is that a kit, aftermarket, or scratch built.

It's funny you should post that, because I was just thinking how I would like to build one and I don't ever remember seeing a kit of one.

There were actually two different Avenger kits. Esci (also boxed by AMT/Ertl in the US) made the "M998 AVANGER" (note misspelling). It was kit #5025 and resembled an Avenger, but was highly inaccurate. It was released around 1989-90.

There was fear that when Italeri started releasing ex-Esci kits, that the Avenger would be one of them. It turned out that the Italeri Avenger is an all new tool (at least the turret and other Avenger-specific parts are new).

Decent kit, yours looks very nice.

Awsome! I'm building the same kit right now (Italeri's right?). What kind of paint did you use for the body and for the turn signal lights?

I never had an Avenger platoon, always had tracked vehicles or M998's with Stinger racks when I was a Stinger Platoon Leader. So, this kit will help fill the void.
