Thanks, Dwight!

I'll have that Jagdpanther posted sometime this weekend.

Yeah, I think the camo job is very good. Quite better than that of my first panther.

Keep the pictures coming.

Thank you for the kind comment, Bill!
For a first effort, I'm not at all displeased with the camo. I was still just getting the hang of the airbrush, still experimenting with all the settings, and just had a go at it!
I'll post my second AB camo attempt, a 1/25 Jagdpanther (build and paint finished but no weathering yet), in a coupla days.

Brian,

If you consider that camo job marginal in any way, I may as well pack it in and head home to Mama! I think it's terrific. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry, Horus! I have at least one metric ton of kits in the closet, but I fully intend to shower each and every one of them with the tender loving care they need to flower into finished kits worthy of posting in these hallowed forums!

Thanks, Horus!
I really do envy the prolific modelers out there. I have soooo many kits in the long line waiting to be built, it sometimes becomes a bit daunting. Each and every one of them tugging at my heart, yearning to be built! Yes, I can clearly hear their baleful cries for attention even now..."build me...build me..."

Thanks again for the kind words, fellas.

Oh, no no no, Eric! Most of these are kits that have been finished for years! Just finally got around to taking some decent pix of 'em. The E-100 is the one I just finished, and that one took me 5 months! I'm no Horus or M1AbramsRules! I'm the original Mr. Butterworth modeler: I take my sweet time.
Which leads me to the sober realization that I haven't really built many models in the last couple of years! In the last 8 months I've only finished 2 kits: the E-100 and a little 1/76 diorama featuring Fujimi's SUPERB JS-II rolling by Fujimi's not-so-superb Pzr III turret. That diorama is currently on display at a local hobby shop, so it missed the big photo shoot last week. Oh well, next time!

Looks good Brian!!

I hope you're just turning out pics this fast and not the whole kit, otherwise I figure it'll take you about a month to do your 1/16 Tiger and the rest of us will look like old ladys crossing the street!!! Big Smile [:D]

Keep 'em coming!

Eric

Tamiya 1/25 Panther A pix
Posted by J-Hulk on Thursday, August 14, 2003 7:14 AM
Hi, Folks!

I told ya'll once I got some good pix there'd be no stopping me!

Here's Tamiya's old Panther A, wearing my first ever attempt at an airbrushed camoulflage. As you can see, I had a hard time getting a tight spritz going, so it's a pretty lazy hazy pattern, but I like the overall effect.

One of the fun aspects of building these old Tamiya 1/25 scale kits is trying to fix some of the numerous inaccuracies. I don't have it in me to tackle any big dimensional issues, but little things like replacing the lifting eyes on the turret (they're square in the kit!) and putting floors in the sponsons are easy to do and go a long way towards accurizing the kit.

Now, if only ModelKasten or Friulmodel would make some aftermarket tracks in 1/25 scale...
