Here's a decent photo from Toadman's that shows it.

My question is, what are the technical details behind those blackish-gray slots?  Looking a closeup photo in Squadron's M4 Sherman Walkaround, it looks as though the light has gray reflector with a red filament and a clear lens.

Many thanks for your comments on the model. This is one of his latest efforts but the tracks alignment doesn't look good esp. the left tracks. Thanks for the info on tail lights' color, is this applicable to all US WWII tanks? I'll pass it on to AI.

If I remember correctly, as this is a Sherman used by a Polish unit, that the circle insignia with PL should be located on a front fender as well as the right rear? I seem to remember that from maybe one of the Osprey books (Shermans in British and Allied Use?).

Thnx for the pictures.  Is it an earlier effort?  I noticed that the suspension units on the right side aren't straight.  Also, let Art Instructor know that only the upper left tail light lens was red.  The bottom lens was black as are both lenses on the right tail light.
