Fantastic, one of the best mordern armor I've seen, the weathering just right, and the camo bends well. you've use artise oil right?

Working on: Trumpeter SU-152 (1/35) Trumpeter E-10 (1/35) Heller Somua (1/35)

Hey Everyone,

I thought I'd share my Tamiya Challenger 2 (desertised) that I built sometime last year. I modified the kit to look like one serving in Kosovo by removing the skirts and TEC's among other things. The kit's done basically OOB (nothing added that I can think ofConfused [%-)]).

The rear left antenna has broken off and it has some major silvering on the decals. (this was before I discovered gloss coats and setting solution.)

This is also my first attempt at figures.

Even with the aforementioned deficiencies, this is a great looking build. I'm not really up to par on modern armor but you've just rang my bell http://planetsmilies.net/angel-smiley-5101.gifand passed muster in my book. Great job, no kidding!

Thanks alot Sgtsauer,Tigerman, Douglas1, Wing-Nut, Anthony2779, RBaer and GA.modelmaker! Glad you guys liked it! (apparently so did Kelly Shaw as he said it might go in a future Reader Gallery.Wink [;)])

and

Anthony2779: I havn't really made any progress recently on the T-72 as I've been trying to finish up some other GB's first, once I make some real progress though, I'll let you know. (How's yours btw?)

RBaer: I'm not sure about your question, you might get a better response though if you post a thread asking about it?

Looks great, love the weathering.

Question: I've got an old Academy M1 that I did up for Kosovo, and since I'm now aware of the major accuracy issues with that kit, planned on trying a little different weathering technique. Has anyone here been there and seen AFVs that have been on wet gravel/pavement roads? I want to try gray "mud", since I've seen it on trucks that have been on the same kinds of "pavement" and wondered if it would be plausible.

I like it,I really like your mud effects.I have this kit on hand, what kind of paint sticks and stays on the rubber band tracks, they look pretty good and i plan to use them.

PS how is your T-72 for Cold War build coming ??? I should be starting mine in a week.

Very nice my friend. I love the camo and weathering. I keep telling myself I need one of these kits. Nice conversion too BTW.

I think your build looks great. I hope mine looks half as good when I get around to building it.

For it being your first time, your figure looks pretty darn good too!
