Ford Timelord - Doctorin' the Tardis

KLF is a british band that released the number one song 'Doctoring the Tardis' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctorin%27_the_Tardis

"Doctorin' the Tardis" is a 1988 electronic novelty pop single by The Timelords (Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty, better known as The KLF). The song is predominantly a mash-up of the Doctor Who theme music, Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll (Part Two)". The single was panned by critics but became a commercial success, reaching number 1 in the UK Singles Chart and charting in the Top 10 in Australia and Norway.

I like this song, but even more, i like Cauty's 68 Ford Custom (Galaxy), featured on the cover of the song and in the video clip (and also a heap of other KLF songs). Obviously inspired by the Bluesmobile, it's in poor condition (with rust coming through the rear quarters) and he doesn't mind using it to run down one of their Daleks.

This model the closest i could get is AMT's 70 Ford police car. apart from slight year model differences, it's pretty much identical.

I also made one of the crude Daleks in the video clip

Hah!  Great project!!  Impressive when you can replicate something from a CD cover.

Very clever job on the Dalek! Yes

Now that you mention the Bluesmobile,I sure wish somebody would produce a '74 Monaco in 1/25.

I'd buy a pile of kits.

WOOO! I love to see when someone does cars like this, from music videos, commercials, comics etc.

And I still have this VINYL single what I bought in -88!

Nice work man!

if anyone would like the decals to build their own, they are now available from Pattos Place

www.pattosplace.com

(go to decals page F - Frd Timelord)

you'll notice i used a red center light, which is like the video clip, but it's blue on the album cover posted by Trabi.
