Hi all I just spent £158.00 on models ooops in my defense that did include some paint and some microsol\set (never used it before but thought I would give it a go. But it also includes an AMT mystery car won't say what it will spoil the surprise, The Batmobile,The Beatnik Bandit, The monkee's mobile, Triumph Tr 4, Gloster Gladiator, DeHaviland Tigerand a Messerchmitt BF109E-4. Should keep me busy for a couple of days.

the most I spent in one shot was $219.00 USD for thre Hasegawa Akagi

Good for you! Hopefully you won't have to sneak then past your wife. lol. To help get around that, I asked my wife to take up a collection from friends and family to purchase my next big project. The 1/200 "big MO" currently priced at $359.00 US at my LHS. high priced, yes, But it's BIG! happy building

Good man, someone has to keep the hobby alive. I have a monthly budget of £150, of course that isn't all on kits, well not always, but all those books, AM details, paints and so on won't buy themselves will they.

158lbs is more than I paid for my first car. That is a lot better than wasting the money on beer. At least that's my "take away" on the subject. Cheers mate.

O that's handy, you get a free man with the model. Did he come gift wrapped.

Well kpnuts what a haul! The microsol/set is super stuff especially if your laying up decals over a curve or curves. Put the decal in water as normal and lay it on the body, if it seems not to comply with the curved surface carefully brush (nice thick bristles) onto the decal and let it soak in. It might take a time but it will work. First though read the instructions on the bottle.

Remember , common sense is not common.

That was one option, but I choosed cheaper version and it was just shrink wrapped.

As you see small writing under wing, it says "Lady Fit". This is that version what comes with replacement dude for lady while hubby is building the kit. Another one, but more pricey would be "Lady Fit, Sport Edition" what comes with one of the Chippendales.

Any updates on further model expenses or have you kept busy just monkeying around with the Monkeemobile?

BTW............somebody is selling  their Monkeemobile if anyone lives in a mild climate or doesn't drive in the rain or snow............

I just build what takes my fancy, it's my birthday soon so I am checking what I can get the missus says I can spend upto £100 I have an idea for a dio which would include the 1/350 Warspite but the missus says I've not touched my ship models in months so no ships, so I've dug my Titanic out and tried having a go with that but can't get my *** for it, it's fought me all the way so I think I will just chuck it together and not worry too much about the end result. I really want that Warspite.
