I have found headlights from a Porsche 356 kit, and as they are slighty larger I've cut out the back of the buckets and opened up the hole that's left...........
I will also fit the stone guards from the same kit..............
As the molding process missed the drivers side front wing I'm attempting to fix it................
Firstly using car repair alloy mesh.............
Then trimming the mesh by taking a template from the other wing and reversing it to get the shape of the wheel cut-out..............
Because the three types of plastic model filler I have warns about it attacking the plastic I've chosen to try modelling clay first...................
This is an overnight air-dry version so should be set in the morning. If not I'll revert to the tube type plastic model filler.
If it has dried and adhered to the plastic I'll put a thin coat over the mesh and smooth down with water to get the correct shape.
