Revell Porsche 928 WIP
Posted by Rob Gronovius on Thursday, March 5, 2015 12:45 AM

I built this kit a long time ago when I was in high school. Back then, it was my favorite car, probably safe to say it would have been a dream car. Stumbled across the kit on eBay a short while ago. I wasn't looking for it and the price was more than right. I haven't built a car kit in ages. Back in the day, I built it as the box art shows, as a silver and black rally car.

This time, I happened to have a can of spray paint I was using to paint an old Estes rocket launcher pad for my youngest son (it had been my 25 year old son's when he was young). So the Porsche gets a coat of yellow paint.

The yellow looks much better than the "box" colour. Smile

Yeah - kinda natural for a Porsche. I did mine in yellow, too!

Good luck with your build and have a nice day

It was either yellow or red, and I had a can of gloss yellow handy. I have a snow day today, we were released from work early last night (7:30 PM). A couple of women, along with hundreds of other drivers, got stuck in traffic and they just got home 13 hours later.

One can get a pretty nice finish from a rattle can, eh?  What did you do last night?  Drive the tank home??  Wink

I'm a Vermonter who drives a Subaru Outback. I took an alternate route and made it home at 9:20 PM. Those two women stuck to the interstate and got home around 8 AM, one after being rescued by the fire department.
