AMT 1/25 Christine - Photo Etch question
Posted by CaptainJack on Monday, July 13, 2015 9:14 AM

Hi, I've started this build from my stash this week and have sanded off the "Belvedere" tag, cleaned the body up,  and primered the model (it was the molded in red version) with Tamiya white fine surface primer. I see that MCG offers a photo etch set for this kit with "Fury" tags and stuff. Does anyone know of any photos out there of a completed kit with the photo etch installed? Or does anyone who has used it have any insight on this set?

I'm trying to decide whether or not to bother getting the set. The stock parts look pretty decent on the completed out of the box kits I've seen, so I want to see whether or not I'd want to shell out the extra $18 or not. Also, I plan on blacking out the windows to depict the "haunted Christine" look, so the interior details will remain unfinished. I believe there is some photo etch included for interior stuff, so that would probably be unused.

Nice choice. Black out the windows, but wire up eerie green light in the dash?

It just depends on how bad you want to have the scripts. You can get away without it. Looking forward to seeing the car when you get done!
