Just use semi-gloss paint or a semi-gloss clear coat to get a decent vinyl look. Simple! Big Smile [:D]

I'm working on a 66' Shelby Mustang GT-350H and I sprayed everything flat black. Then after the paint was good and dry I buffed the flat paint w/a plain ole' rag to a dull shine. Looks great and it's very easy and in-expensive. Here's the seats:

Good luck!

That's another good way to do it. I've also heard about painting in flat black and rubbing the finish with you finger (after the paint's dry of course). The skin oils will give it a leathery or vinyl sheen.

You can usually find Testor's dullcote in the small model section of some discount stores like Wal-Mart. It seems like they sections get smaller and smaller, but they still frequently have something.

A no cost way to acieve a vinyl look is to paint in flat, and rub your finger on your forehead to get skin oil on it, and wipe over the part. Sounds rude, but works quite well.
