Now this'll be cool lookin'. Will be following along on this one Nick. If can make a suggestion. I usually black base my transmissions and go over them with a thin coat of steel. I may be all wet with the color usage but the result is a fairly realistic metal shade IMO. That color on the motor looks fantastic. Yes

I used tamiya steel it's darker in the pic but it dose look darker some windex off it comes

painted the body with mm classic gloss white and testors metal flake purple to get the dusk plum color that was on the 56 chevy

Thank you T.B. The interior is painted with testors gloss the gave light coat to the seats with floquil clear flat(light coat) to give that semi gloss look. Still need to fix some boo boo's here and there.
