Revell of Germany makes quite a few European fire trucks in 1/24; they seem to put out a new variant every 2 years or so.

Check " Heller and Revell Germany "

There might be something floating there that will help . T.B.

It's not on your list, but take a look at ICM's early Model T fire truck.  A real gem!  I have it in my stash and it is in the queue to make the bench soon.   Only trouble with the ICM model T kits is the parts count is quite high, but this allows really nice detail.

Hi,

I believe that Trumpeter makes an American Lafrance Pumper in 1/25 scale, but it may be too new for what you are looking for.  I think it's a 2002 model, but I'm not fully sure (I can see the numbers 2002 on images of the box at least Tongue Tied).

Aside from the same old same old, like the 'Backdraft' pumper or the AMT American LaFrance 900.....my dad spent more than 3 years as a volunteer with his local FD and I'd really like to build one of their trucks for him.  Problem is, I cannot seem to find any kits that match up to the trucks they have and used to have.  I am anticipating some scratch building to convert a kit but I'm having trouble even finding a base kit to start with.

Some of the trucks that I can choose from:

1994 KME AerialCat 102'

2004 KME 1500 GMP pumper

1999 KME pumper

1989 American LaFrance 1250 pumper

2011 Ford F450 Crew Cab--with Reading type body--might be easier option

1961 American LaFrance convertible top 750 pumper

1957 American LaFrance convertible top 750 pumper

1952 Dodge Power Wagon

I've seen one model out there of an American LaFrance pumper truck--older one, like late 50s/early 60s, and I might have to go that route, if I can actually get my hands on one.  I'd also like to know if anyone knows of any gold leaf style decal sets of letters and such.  Of these, the two that would probably be the easiest would be the F-450, and maybe the Power Wagon since I think I can probably find a military truck model and use it.  Here's a pic of the Power Wagon when it was in service:

I'd LOVE to be able to do one of the KME trucks, but have never seen or heard of a model being done of those.  Any thoughts?  Thanks in advance!
