Thanks Bakster - I'm stoked to get the right wheels at a bargain.  My General will be legitimate from Flag to wheels!  Yee-Haw!  The south is going to rise again!  Said the Californian... lol

I recall one of the car shows doing a piece on the General Lee cars and there were at least a dozen of them used for various scenes in the show, e.g. the jumps vrs. chase scenes. There were a number of the cars wrecked and rebuild so repainted cars was common and the colors did not always match from car to car. My young son at the time was facinated by Daisy Duke and pronounced the deputy's name Anus instead of Enos. If I remember correctly Waylon Jennings sang the theme song for the show. I hated to see such great cars so badly abused. IMHO Chevy engine red, hugger orange, or just plane orange from the Testors small bottle would be close enough. I cannot recall ever seeing any specific paint code given for the DOH cars.
