Thanks all.  Greg, the thought is I didn't let the paint gas out.  First time using the Tamiya clear so I'm gunshy and will use a test mule going forward for sure

In the meantime, that sure is a purdy blue. Brings back memories and smells from using various shiny and sometimes metallic paints on model cars as a kid.
