Auto Surprise - A real Oldie.

Went to a Yard sale:

There on a back table was the old Revell Customizing Kit. The Chrysler with the Red and White striped roof and outrageous fins added in the Box cover illustration. Ah, so it'a three Bucks . I haven't built one of those lately. I build them and Give them away!

This one did surprise me. Within the instructions was a clear piece of styrene for the Windows, probably .005.The kind that will fog or delaminate? if you are not careful! The instructions installing the windows,BUT, there were no Patterns.( Might've been lost for all I know)

Aw Hell, I went and bought it anyway. When I got it home I discovered that the Continental Kit extension for the Rear Bumper was missing too. Tha instructions don't show an installation of such a piece, But they picture it on the box side in the optional equipment included!

I did forget on this scale(1/32) how delicate and detailed the interiors were. Now I remember why I liked their 4dr. Mercury Montclair Phaeton kit It was molded in cream and the insides came out awesome! This one is in Black and it polishes like a Gemstone!

I am doing the interior in Three shades of Grey and Black. This was a common color combo in the 56 Chrysler new Yorker. The only thing Non stock, if you choose to try is the Grille. You're stuck with the mild Custom one. But, that's okay as it doesn't look far of from stock anyway. Boy this one has been fun!
