WOW!  Truly amazing work!  Love that pinstriping on that Diamond Reo! That Autocar truck kit holds a special place in my heart because it was a kit that my dad was building when I was a kid.  He kept it a secret and eventually shelved it and unfortunately he never finished it before he passed away and my mom threw it out because I had taken a break away from modeling for college and other aspects of life.  I was so glad when AMT reissued it(bought two kits already) because the prices at swap meets for it were through the roof.  My local hobby shop has Italeri's kit of an Australian Outback rig,(I can't remember what make of truck it was) and if you say that they're that much better I may have to look at that kit again.  Are there any truck building sites,S.I.G.(Special Interest  Groups),or after-market companies that you guys can reccomend?  Since coming back to the hobby I've built just about everything but I'll be honest, the auto/truck genre is one aspect of modeling that I've struggled with because I can never get that high gloss finish.  The two rigs that I've finished were done heavily weathered because that's the way that I remember them when they pulled up for fuel at the truck stop that I worked at when I was a teenager.

Thanks for the info Tanker-Builder!  I've got one Italeri in my stash now but will keep an eye out for them in the future.  I know that Italeri builds some of those modern European rigs and that Moebius has two of those International rigs out as kits but I'm a sucker for the "classic" rigs of the trucks from the 60's & 70's so that usually ends up being AMT kits.  I wish that AMT/MPC would just go back and retool their molds like AMT did with their recently released International Transtar kit.  PS -  I would also love it if they reissued Sonny's KW from the tv series "Moving On"!  My dad and I loved watching that show back when it was on tv.

       I can tell you about those Italeri Trucks. I have three in different stages of building. I thought after A.M.T.s over blown rivets on the K.W. Cabover and Peterbilt that they were,  as far as parts fit and detail, Miles ahead of A.M.T. Now that said, I believe it would be nice to see the Ertl Internationals back. They were darned good too. Both Ertl and Italeri Vehicles suffered from something I have always loved in heavy equipment. Lotsa fiddly detail. And well done moldings.

      So you got a darned nice truck there. Good Job. Now, when you gonna load it? It's nice to see someone giving Tiking some Competition. You both obviously have " The Touch"

Modeltruckb that rig is awesome!  Is that the same kit as the recently rereleased Ford LTL 9000 that AMT released?  Great color scheme and very clean  build.  Love the "real" wood that you used on the trailer.  How do Italeri truck kits compare to the AMT kits?  When I was much younger one of my first jobs was a pump attendent in a truck stop and I've loved the big rigs, especially from the 70's, since!  Do you reccomend an after-market company to use to find resin or photoetched parts?  Can't wait to see your next build!

Trucks really aren't my thing but I gotta say this is extremely impressive.  I've seen some great work on these forums and this rates as one of the best.

I was almost wondering how you were able to photoshop a truck to make it look like it was sitting on a table.  That is about the most incredible workmanship I have seen on a model!  AMAZING!
