Beautiful model!  I learned to drive in one of those.  Fond memories!

Gimme a pigfoot, and a bottle of beer...

Very nice build and pics. Just love those cars from that time period. Thanks for the memories.

Wow, I was just mentioning in another forum about obscure kits. This fits that bill. Oldsmobiles do sghow up,never seen a 4 door kit though. And never a 56 Buick, that's one I'd like to see someone kit.

But what a beautiful job you have done on this Olds !

How many times must I tell you guys...

" no pictures of real cars"!!

Oh, ... ahem ...

I'm with you on the green tinted windows. They could have been slightly less tinted, but overall , they work.

LOVE the paint job!!!!!!!!

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

This was a Promolite re-pop. I bought 3 1956 4 door cars from an Ebay seller. This one, DeSoto, and Plymouth. Molded in white, no interirs, plain tyres and green window tint.

Modelhaus used to supply full interiors for  them, as well as clear windows, except for this one. Modelhaus didn't do clear windows for this. However I don't mind the green tint windows as the paint is dark metallic green, but to tone donw the green-ness I removed the side windows and replaced with clear.

Not alot else to report really, as it consisted of about 10 pieces, it went together well. Excellent casting to.

I scratchbuilt the mirror and Antennea .
