Depending on his skills, might be able to try scratching the tow bed.  Most were built up from flat plate.  The hardest thing would be the boom and winches.

Thanks for the info, sounds like he may have to get the truck and add the towing gear onto it from another kit.

Don't know about availability, but there was a '67 Ford with a service body.  Looks like a 4x2, but single rear wheel.

Main differences between '67-'72 was the grille and trim levels.  I had a '70 Ranger back in the day.
