Fantastic work there. I like that.
I used my .5 needle AB, 4 parts clear, 1 part activator, straight through, no issues. Just gear up and don't breath this stuff or get it on your skin. 20 psi was more than enough.

I ordered the clear coat stuff. Looks brilliant and you're not the first to reference. Can you tell me how you used it? Sorry for cluttering up your thread but PMs don't work. I'm interested in mix, thinning, pressure etc.
Thanks,
John

Olezippi That's a looker for sure BK. That black looks nice. Is that MM 2K clear or some other brand?

MR TOM SCHRY Incredible build! Everything just flows together, the body color to the wheels and interior to the plug wires, just flawless workmenship. To top it off flames and pinstriping! TJS

foxDid you do anything with the chrome?
Very nice job Brandon! The photos are really very good too.
Got one small question for you. Did you do anything with the chrome? Haven't seen any kit chrome ever look that good. An inquiring mind would like to know.

I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.
My adult son came to me and asked me to build him a kit. He went through several choiced before landing on a Highboy. He know exactly how he wanted it right down to every color and detail.
I painted the kit and he helped assemble some of it. This one is painted with MM enamel black and 2K clear. The interior is Tamiya red with MM flat over that. The decals were a bit delicate and wanted to crack, but overall I managed to get it done.
I'm pretty happy with it overall, however if I do another I will strip all the chrome and clean it up more and rechrome it so it looks better.
