I had to photograph this on the glass top of the table as opposed to my usual dark gray foam matting, because we have this weird gale force wind here in the UK at the mo. Didn't want to risk an accident. But as it happens, I think the black glass suits this build. Its the AMT re-issue. Not alot to say about it. Has about 3 pieces (yeah I know it does have more) and it all went together well. 1959 Imperial Crown ( AMT) 1959 Imperial Crown ( AMT)1959 Imperial Crown ( AMT)
Nice job. Cool subject and I agree, looks great on the glass.
Thanks,
John
Wow Nice ! Those old AMT kits are what I grew up with and cut my modeling teeth on once I moved from 1/32 to 1/25. At least in the auto world.
I wish they made a Caddy convertible. Your Chrysler looks great though !
Nice looking model. Perfect paint color.
Those tail lights are the best!!! Look at the size of that trunk.
Your comments and questions are always welcome.

Yes that trunk! One of my customers has a Ford Skyliner and that trunk blew me away. It wasn't till I started talking to him that I learned the whole darn hard top swings back into it!

Have had the great fortune to be on every side of the howitzers.
Oh Boy!
Will you look at that rear overhang? Plus there's enough length to add two more doors! Ah! They sure don't make them like that anymore. Real steel, Not this foil they make them out of now. Oh, on that Model I am sure you noticed the body in the rear didn't quite match the chrome. That has always been an issue with that kit. The one I like is the 60-61 I think. It's the one where the headlights stand alone from the Fenders and Grille. You picked rich colors and achieved that "Is it real?" quality.
Looks great. Nice build. There were not many of those (the real car) made, especially the convertible. The Imperial brand went away in the early 60s (61 IIR). They were super expensive. I had an uncle who had one and rode in it many time.
