That looks great Jim.  Great attention to detail. Fantastic paint job. I like it.

Yes, it is the Moebius kit. I swapped the SOHC for a 427 side oiler and lowered the sky high front end. Not pictured is the part of the scoop section that fits on the under side of the hood that I fabricated. I had purchased a set of wheels for another project and these chrome reverse wheels unexpectedly came with them. They looked so good, I just had to use them on the Cyclone.

Ya those boxy dragsters with steel wheels just make me smile!  Is that the Moebius kit?  I did 'The Comet' a couple years ago and thought it was a really great kit.  Very nice job.

Thanks,

John

Oh yeah, it's a beauty! And a very nice background, too!

Back when I was thirteen years old in 1965, the Comet Cyclone was one of my favorite cars. This model represents my younger years when "Jungle Jim" was my nickname (we all had nicknames back then) in the neighborhood and Crouch's Drug Store was where we went to buy comic books, eat chili dogs and sip on Cherry Cokes.
